2024 One Fine Morning Grenache
The 2024 One Fine Morning was made from Grenache grown in the Russian River Valley. What really sets the One Fine Morning apart is that it is produced via carbonic maceration. Carbonic maceration starts with whole grape clusters in an oxygen-free environment (for me four stainless steel barrels) and typically produces a light, fruity wine. The grapes for the One Fine Morning spent about three weeks in these stainless steel barrels before they were pressed and allowed to finish fermentation off of their skins. The wines then rested in very well-seasoned oak barrels before being bottled 9 months later.
It shows Grenache’s typical bright red fruit flavors with hints of bubblegum and white pepper. The palate is delicate with a touch of tannin and zippy acidity. It bridges the gap between red and rosé wine and will pair well with everything on your Thanksgiving table. Serve with a light chill.
